During this week of school we were preparing for the SAT in math class that was coming up. On tuesday Mr. B gave us a pep talk about the SAT and throughout the week he taught us many different techniques on what we should do on the test. I did not take the test but I do believe these techniques he taught us will help me on the one I did take. On thursday people walked out to help fight to give equality for women. We had the option to stay inside so I stayed inside. I did not stay inside because I hate women I stayed inside because I want true equality. This might sound weird but you’re not or I wont give a chocolate bar to one of my child and not the other. I understand women go through many problems but I also know men also go through a lot of problems too. This walk out shows how our society does not like men equally. Men are last for everything and we get the worst jobs because we have to. Men make up more than 90% of work related deaths but the workforce is nearly made up of 50% women and we don’t see anything huge for those men. The draft is a problem for me and many people because to get a college loan my brother had to sign up for the draft. If men don’t sign up for the selective service between 18 and 25 who are a U.S. citizens we can go to prison for 5 years, get a nice fine of over $200000. Women don't have to do this where is the “#equality” for this? Or is it for things that only benefit them? Most homeless people are male but shelters have rules where women and children are first I am fine with kids going in first kids is the future but with the women first this goes with me saying guys are last. why can’t it just be first come first server? If there was not a women's walk out and a mens walk out I would be inside arguing for the females, I just want true equality.
